So interesting!

I love learning how the brain functions so it's been amazing to take time out to understand the physical functions and how the relate, change and impact emotional health.
Wow!

Chapter two was by far some of the most interesting, relevant information I have learned in any course I've ever taken. I frequently experience many of the areas DR DOGAN discusses due to my diagnoses of PTSD, STSD, and anxiety. It was so helpful to go over symptoms in detail, because I can now use this information in the future and attempt to recognize and reflect on trauma.
Hopeful Self Awareness

Reflecting on the topics and seeing how I am affected has been interesting for me. For example, I can definitely go through hyper-arousal with my coworkers and I also have the repetitive tendency to overwork myself because the pain I feel at home is lost while I am in "work mode." I am excited to learn about ongoing research for healing trauma.
Makes sense

I found it really interesting that trauma can act like an addiction and people will subconsciously relive trauma. I never understood why people would willingly stay in abusive relationships or jobs, but this factor finally explained it for me - and explained some of my tendencies in friendships.
Thank You!

This course taught me about myself, not just about trauma awareness and self care. Thank you for what you do. I'm slowly healing each day.
